Trade Sanctions and their impact on Business: Schellenberg Wittmer

30 Jan 2018 – In the last few years, international political events have giving rise to a proliferation of measures adopted by the United Nations and sovereign states, imposing trade restrictions, embargoes and other sanctions against delinquent governments, related entities and individuals. Taking a comparative law approach, Julie Raneda, Counsel at Schellenberg Wittmer, discussed the impact that sanctions can have on day-to-day business and contracts, and offered some practical advice to insure compliance with the trade sanctions regimes.
