GST aspects of the logistics services industries and imports of goods in Singapore: Luther LLP

3 Oct 2017 – This meeting with Alexandre Gourdan, Attorney-at-law at Luther, provided participants with an understanding of the GST aspects relevant to the logistics service industry so as to help them understand and apply the correct GST treatment of some of the more common services provided by businesses in this industry.

Alexandre also provided an overview of the GST matters relating to the imports of goods in Singapore as well as the most common import related schemes available, insights that were particularly useful to businesses who are GST-registered and in the business of providing logistic services such as transportation, goods-handling (e.g. labeling, repacking, inventory control, etc.) and storage of goods, as well as businesses in import of goods for their businesses or on behalf of overseas persons.
