19 Sep 2017 – BEPS is an initiative from OECD and G20 countries offering recommendations to harmonise tax systems of different jurisdictions to counter practices that are exploiting gaps and mismatches in tax rules to arti-ficially shift profits to lower tax jurisdictions where there is little or no economic activity. Several ASEAN countries have started implementing the BEPS recommendations.
At this meeting, Loise Jacquette, French lawyer, Associate, and Heike Riesselmann (Dipl.-Kffr.), German Certified Tax Advisor, Manager International Tax Services from Luther LLP shared with participants more on how changing transfer pricing and permanent establishment rules may impact their businesses in ASEAN.
