French Chamber CSR Day 2017: Over 2.6 tons of trash collected at Tanah Merah Beach

8 Sep 2017 – Early on Friday morning, 8th September, 400 people from 40 companies came together to participate in the French Chamber’s Clean The Beach CSR Day 2017, collecting a total of ~2.6 tonnes (2,600kg) of marine trash at Tanah Merah Beach!

The French Chamber had partnered with International Coastal Clean-Up Singapore (ICCS) to bring together the business community to contribute to saving marine and coastal wildlife in Singapore and champion environmental awareness locally.

It was a great occasion for companies to show their determination to act as responsible corporate citizens and make a positive impact on the environment in Singapore.

We would like to thank Danone for the initiative and the Wise Officer team, Volvic for the water, Veolia for the trash bags, Joshua from St John’s first aid, International Coastal Cleanup Singapore and certainly all the participants for their enthusiasm and great contribution!
