Visit: NUS Smart Systems Institute

30 Aug 2017 – Smart Systems Institute (SSI) of National University of Singapore answers to the needs for strong R&D in Smart Systems Institute as identified by government. It is cross-disciplinary, bringing together researchers in engineering, computer science, physical science and social science under one roof.

SSI conducts high end smart systems research and will continue with translating the research output into market outcome. It excels in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Internet-Of-Things (IoT), Industrial Design, Big Data Analytics and Media Technologies such as computer vision and natural language processing.

At this site visit, Kelvin TanDeputy Director of NUS Enterprise and Head of Business Development, Smart Systems Institute of NUS shared with our members the innovation projects and how they collaborate with companies.

Participants were brought on a tour of the facilities and viewed demonstrations of various projects from the Ambiotherm and Taste+ in the CUTE Center, to the SeSaMe Centre, Social Robotics Adam robot, Engineering Team EPOC, and Ambient Intelligence Laboratory (AMI Lab).
