24 Feb 2017 – This Tax and Legal committee meeting aimed to provide an overview of the implications of the new French anti-corruption law, Loi Sapin II, on French corporates operating in Asia, with a focus on the creation of a new obligation to prevent and detect corruption and to protect whistleblowers.
The speakers from Control Risks and Baker & McKenzie also discussed plea agreements and enforcement of this new crucial piece of legislation. The interactive session also provided practical steps to building adequate protection and defense mechanisms.
