25 Nov 2015 – Most of us don’t think a lot about communication. After all, we’ve been communicating since we were kids. As babies we learned about the world by listening. And we quickly learned to get what we wanted by crying. We’ve been communicating as long as we can remember. It comes naturally. Right? Wrong.
Certified coach of the International Coaching Federation, Quentin Bernard tackled the topic of gender differences in communication in this meeting.
Specifically, he looked into the need to understand the motivation behind the behaviour, recognise one’s own communication style and bias, be respectful and open to others’ communication styles and values and work on compromise to bring out the strengths of the communication style.
